Assam Panchayat elections are going on. Voting has started for this panchayat election. In Assam, the BJP is in power and that is why the examination of the party is being held in the state. For the last several years here, the issue of NRC has been getting hot. In the first phase, 43,515 candidates are fielded, whose fate decides more than 97 lakh voters.

The ruling BJP, Assam Gana Parishad, Congress, All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF), All India Trinamool Congress (AITMC) have worked hard to win this election. A huge police force has been deployed to prevent any kind of unwanted activity in the election. In the first phase, a total of 97,45,709 voters will vote for 43,515 candidates, 14077 polling booths have been created.

According to the State Election Commission, in the first phase, voting will be done in 16 districts of Assam. State Election Commissioner of Assam, H.N. Vora told the media that the first phase will be held on December 5 and the second phase will be held on 9th December. Counting of votes will be done on December 12 and 13. It is being speculated that in the first phase, there will be a fight between the ruling BJP, the Congress and the AGP. Assam Gana Parishad is also a partner in the government, but both are face-to-face in Panchayat elections.
