Dahod: For the safety of students, the State Education board has ordered Primary, Secondary and Higher Secondary school Managements to compulsorily install CCTV surveillance on the school campus. The registration of the school will be cancelled if they refuse to follow this rule. Currently, only 83 schools had installed CCTV surveillance while 1857 schools are still left to do so across the district.

The State Education Board has made the CCTV surveillance compulsory in all the schools. There are 26 Secondary and Higher Secondary Government schools, 195 Granted Secondary and Higher Secondary schools, 123 non-granted Secondary and Higher Secondary schools and 1600 Primary schools in the district. Out of which, 75 granted Secondary and higher secondary schools and 17non granted schools already had CCTV surveillance. Many schools had secondary as well as primary sections, so they have also become alert and initiated the process of installing CCTV surveillance after the order was passed by State Education board.

In Dahod district, 1143 classrooms in 75 schools out of 195 granted schools are already under CCTV surveillance. Similarly, 45 classrooms of 17 schools out of 123 non-granted schools are also under CCTV surveillance. Now, as per new rule, the process of installing other cameras in all the classrooms along with the corridors has been initiated.
