Lunawada: For the benefit of the senior citizens, the state government of Gujarat had launched pilgrimage scheme Shravana Thirth Yojana (STY) for easy darshan from May 1.
All the talukas and villages of Mahisagar district get benefits from this Tirthankara Yojana. Senior citizens of the area whose age is 60 years or more have been avail with this benefit.
The journey of pilgrimage to Gujarat can be done at half of the rate. A group of 45 people from the district will be benefitted through this plan in which they can travel for two night and three days.
For a pilgrimage, pilgrims will have to decide the route themselves. No more benefits are available under the scheme for More than three days and two nights. Pilgrims 75 years of age or older, if alone, can accompany with the attendant of age less than 60 years. The group will be followed by Doctor, Nurse, Compounder, Cook and five helpers.
The Government will pay 50% costs of Tirth Yatra by Non-AC state transport bus in the state
This Yatradham tour can be done in Gujarat ST and Private Travels Bus. Application forms can be obtained from the divisional office of Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation.
Apart from this, it can be obtained from the web site of Gujarat Pavitra Yaatra Dham www.yatradham.gov.in.
