Kutch: As snowfall continues in northern states of the country, many parts in Gujarat on Saturday witnessed cold weather and chilly winds in the evening. Naliya town in Kutch district was the coldest place in the state where minimum temperature plunged to 7.6 degree Celsius.
Apart from Naliya, minimum temperatures rose in many parts of the state but the cloudy weather and dip in maximum temperatures made the people feel the sting of winter chills. Valsad town in South Gujarat was the second coldest place with 11.1degree celsius minimum temperature. Another town of Kutch — Bhuj also witnessed bone-cracking chills with night temperature dipping to 11.7°C.
Ahmedabad witnessed pleasant weather where the night temperature was recorded at 16.2°C – 3.2 degrees above normal and the maximum temperature was recorded at 28.8°C, 0.1 degrees below normal.
