According to a press release from Additional District Magistrate of Botad district and the Election Commission of India, giving the attention of all the printing presses of Botad district in context with the General Elections of the Gujarat Legislative Assembly-2017, printed copies of any person who has no name or address of his printer and publisher,that cannot publish or print the ballot paper.
Two persons of the publisher’s identity shall have to give two copies of the accredited affirmation in the attachment-K and the printer will have to take such an accession in two copies. Every print, photocopier or photographer or photographer of the computer printer will print a copy of the signature and print a copy of the printed literature and send it to the Collector and District Magistrate on Day 3. According to section-1957 article 127 (A), the person who violates these rules, there will be provisions for punishment of sentence of up to six months imprisonment or fine of up to two thousand rupees or both.
Apart from this, such writings cannot include any unlawful matters such as appealing to pursue religion, caste, community or language or to defame the character of the opponent. The printer will have to submit the copy of the letter of acknowledgement of the publication and the details of the printed documents should be submitted to the District Magistrate separately in day-3.
All printing presses in Botad district will have to send information about their name and address to the office of the relevant Mamlatdar office on day-to-day whereas the photocopy or laser printing or computer printers will be sent to the address. In the identification slip printed for the voters’ guidance, no particular details of any particular candidate or party may be printed, nor will the publisher, candidate or party name be printed in the identity slip.
