onions had become costly, so the people are facing difficulty in maintaining
their budget. The crops of onion at Rajasthan, Punjab, Delhi and Assam failed
due to heavy rainfall so the merchants from these states are purchasing onions
in large bulks from Saurashtra. The inflow of new onions in markets has also
decreased as onion crops were damaged due to rain.
