Nadiad: Eleven day remand given to the main accused, Meet Patel, in connection with the abduction and murder of seven-year-old Tanya Patel, a resident of Laksha Duplex, located on Santram dairy road of Nadiad city, and was thrown into Mahisagar river has ended and the accused has been sent to jail. Meet was produced before the court in the afternoon on Wednesday. During 11-day remand, police have completed all the necessary procedures, for stiff action against accused, after collecting all the evidence and sent to Bilodara jail.
On September 23, the Nadiad court granted 11 days remand to the main accused of kidnapping and murder of seven-year-old Tanya Patel of Nadiad. During remand, the police worked hard to inquire the accused and collected scientific, direct and indirect evidences. Meanwhile, the police also took the accused to the Mahisagar river bridge and re-constructed the entire incident.
Police also arrested his mother Jagishaben and his younger brother Dhruv, who extended him full co-operation in the incident. Apart from this, the entire information like how the plan was created, who was involved in planning, received the information from the police as per police sources.
Now, the police has to present the charge sheet in 90 days, the entire details will be submitted to the court through the charge sheet. On Wednesday, the court directed Meet Patel to send to Bilodara jail. So the police sent the accused to Bilodara jail under court custody.
