Vehicle registration fells down by 11 % to 20,49,391 units this year

The vehicle registration fell 11 percent to 20,49,391 units this year. A total of 23,01,986 vehicles were registered during the festival season from September 21 to November 1. According to the figures released by the Federation of Automobile Dealers Association (FADA), a national organization of automobile dealers, registration of two-wheeler this year declined from 18,11,703 units to 15,83,276 during the festive season from October 10 to November 20 this year. According to the data, before the festive season, storage for two-wheelers and passenger vehicles was for 60 days and 50 days respectively. After the season it has been reduced to 50 days and 45 days respectively, but still it is above the normal level.
Fada president Ashish Harshraj Kale said that there was no such recession in the season of Diwali. For the last few years, many factors have been negatively impacting the festive season sales. This is a matter of commitment for dealers. The biggest impact of rising fuel prices has been on the sale of two-wheelers and passenger vehicles. Sales of commercial vehicles have increased during this time, but it is less than before.
