Palej: In the second phase of the Legislative Assembly elections of 2017, voters in rural areas of Vadodara district including Karjan Nagar celebrated the democratic festival by participating in the voting process with great enthusiasm. In the early morning, the enthusiasm was seen in the voters. Voters’ horrific scenes were seen on all the booths of the town. However, at the time of the lunch, voting was seen little slow but after that, there was a buoyancy in the polling.
A large number of supporters of both political parties were seen working hard to take the voters up to the polling booth. A total of 1,98,198 voters had voting rights in Karjan taluka. According to reports received from around 4.00 pm, the total turnout was 69.58%. The most important and noteworthy thing was that 3 out of 12 respondents from Karjhan Nagar used to exercise their right to strengthen their democracy by using their suffrage and presented a noble example.
In the villages of Karjan taluka rural areas, people cast their votes heavily and shows their enthusiasm. In the villages of Karjan taluka, Sansarod, Haldarwa, Mankan and Mesrad and the villages near Paleja, voters cast their votes in a long queue with great enthusiasm. According to the received reports, 72.50, 65.80, 68.28, 70.46 and 74.28 percent of the voters were polled in Valad, Sansrod , Haldarwa, Mankan and Metroid respectively. In order to avoid any untoward incident, the tight police force was arranged in these five villages. Overall, the polling process was completed in a very peaceful atmosphere.
